Arthur Victor Coverly-Price
1901 - 1988
He travelled extensively in the Diplomatic Service, during which time he sketched and painted many topographical subjects in Europe, Asia, North America & Africa.
He exhibited in 16 one-man exhibitions in various parts of the world including London, Ottawa and Mexico City; The Royal Academy; Royal Institute; VA; Fine Art Society; The Alpine Club.

Watercolourist & illustrator who studied at the Farnham School of Art. She travelled widely and exhibited at the RI in the 1960s.

Dudley was also a landscape and portrait painter whose work was exhibited at the Royal Academy.

Jan Buys
1909 -1985
Born in Rotterdam, where he also studied. He moved to South Africa in 1949 and eventually settled in Cape Town where he mainly exhibited. His work is represented in several South African public collections,
including the South African National Gallery.

Josef Herman
1911 – 2000
A highly regarded Polish-British realist painter who influenced contemporary art, particularly in the UK.
His work often depicted workers as it subject and was inherently political. He was among more than a generation of eastern European Jewish artists who emigrated to escape persecution and worked abroad. For eleven years he lived in South Wales in the mining town of Ystradgynlais, where he painted many of his subjects.

Robert Edward Morrison

Allan Douglas Davidson
1873 - 1932
Studied art at the Royal Academy Schools in London, where he won a medal and the Armitage Prize. Also studied at the Académie Julian in Paris. He was elected to the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1921 and was also a member of the Langham Sketching Club. He painted a small work for Queen Mary's Dolls' House. He exhibited prolifically at all the major London exhibitions including 20 works at the Royal Academy between 1905-1931.

Donald Wood
1889 - 1953
A Leeds artist of portraits, landscapes & figures. He exhibited widely between 1919 - 1939, including works at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute & the Royal Scottish Academy.
Sir Robert Ponsonby-Staples
1853 - 1943
He studied art and architecture from the age of twelve, first at Louvain in Belgium, followed by spells at Dresden, Paris and London. The Royal Academy accepted his first picture in 1875 and he was a regular exhibitor thereafter. A talented artist, his most famous painting is The Ideal Cricket Match, which now hangs in the Pavilion at Lords Cricket Ground. He also has works in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery.
Oscar Daniel DeLall
1903 - 1971
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, he came to Canada in 1926 and settled in Montreal where he studied drawing under Edmond Dyonnet.
DeLall is known for his works in oil and charcoal. His portraits were realistic, and his landscapes captured the vibrant colors and beauty of the Laurentian region of Quebec where he made his home. He was elected A.R.C.A. 1946, R.C.A. 1958. He lived in Montreal.
David William Burley
1901 - 1990
Born in Greenwich, Burley studied at Goldsmiths School of Art. A painter & poster designer, he also produced graphics & advertising during the 1930's. He exhibited work at the Royal Academy, beginning in 1952; at the RBA from the early 1960s, and also at the Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters & the Mall Galleries.
Bernard Myers
1925–2007
A painter & printmaker from London, he studied at St Martin's, Camberwell & at the Royal College of Art where he later taught. He travelled extensively, including India & the Middle East. He worked from his studio on the Thames at Hammersmith from 1987. He stated that his work “was dominated by the river”, as shown in his solo exhibition at New Grafton Gallery, 1991. He also exhibited at the Royal Academy & RWA.
John Strickland Goodall
1908 -1996
An illustrator, watercolour painted & author. Attended the Royal Academy, &was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists & Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. He also illustrated children's books & greeting cards.
